Since starting my online courses with #Makeitindesign I have found a renewed enthusiasm for illustrating and a new love of pattern and design. I have created many designs both as a result of the creative briefs they set and the trend reports that come out regularly. My portfolio is growing steadily and I am now in the scary phase of trying to get my work out there. I have sent out some cards to a few kidswear companies and taken out advertising with the brilliant blogspot Print Pattern so fingers crossed some relationships will be forged. It's always slightly nerve wracking trying to get noticed and sell your work but a very exciting time too!
Here are some designs I have done against briefs set by #Makeitindesign and some collections I have put together to show how they could be used on products - mock ups are a new and thrilling concept for me.
